Practical English "What's the date today?"

In this lesson, Sts learn how to say the date in English. This involves teaching Sts ordinal numbers, which are presented through a general knowledge quiz. Sts then learn the months and, fially, how to say the date. For simplicity’s sake, the lesson focuses on one way of saying the date, i.e., May fist ( as opposed to the fist of May). It does not focus on how to say the year. This is taught in American English File 1 . In the People on the street section, Sts listen to six people saying when their birthday is and what they did on their last birthday. Sts then answer
the same questions themselves.
