This lesson looks at another use of the future be going to to express predictions (what we think or are sure is going to happen in the future). The lesson starts with Sts discussing fortune-telling and looking at related verb phrases. Then Sts read and listen to a short story about a fortune-teller, which has a “twist” at the end. As they read / listen to the story Sts have to make a series of predictions about the outcome. This leads into grammar, and the pronunciation focus is on oo. In Speaking, Sts use the cards to tell each other's fortunes. Finally, they listen to a song bv Robert Plant called Fortune Teller
